Cooper Union named #7 on its Newsweek’s Top 25 Desirable Schools

Cooper Union may be a small college—its campus spans just a few city blocks in New York’s East Village and serves only 920 undergraduates—but its list of accolades is not. This highly selective arts college is No. 7 on Newsweek’s list of most desirable schools, the fifth most desirable urban college and tops the list of most desirable small schools.
Yesterday, the chapel at 545 E 11th St was granted landmark status.

The Eleventh Street Methodist Episcopal Chapel on 11th Street between avenues A and B is a Gothic revival-style church that was completed in 1868. At two stories tall and all red bricks, it now houses the Father’s Heart Ministry Center.
