Will 326, 328 E 4th St be redeveloped?

EVCC

New development on two buildings from the early 1830s—326 and 328 E 4th St, near Avenue C & D—is drawing an alarmed response from the East Village neighborhood, East Village Community Coalition and Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation.

From NY1:

“We’re just concerned about inappropriate alterations to the building, or actual demolition itself because these are the only buildings that have ever been on these sites and it’s so rare that a 170-year-old building is still around in the East Village,” said Kurt Cavanaugh of the East Village Community Coalition.

The EVCC and GVSHP are inviting the city’s landmark preservation commission (LPC) to save these buildings. More detail here.
